Once again, I had to send another copy of the ordinance that the plumbing code requires that all buildings have a closed plumbing drainage system. This means drain lines that are busted in the slab CANNOT be rerouted unless, you locate the line at the location that it connects to the main drain line and cap it off. Meaning you MUST break into the concrete regardless of whether you perform a drain line reroute or if you go through the slab to correct the problem. I fail to understand why so many plumbers attempt to mislead the customer by not wanting to repair the drain line correctly. I have gone behind so many plumbers that performed drain line reroutes at customers homes and several months later the customer was having the exact same problem they had initially but, at a different fixture that was farther down the line. I am continally fighting this battle and The State Plumbing Board is hopefully going to start taking some action. Customer beware and remember American Plumbing is always on your side!
